Project Description
QCS is proud to have been chosen as the IQF (Independent Quality Firm) on both Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the historic Innerbelt Bridge project through the heart of downtown Cleveland. During Phase 1, our inspectors were responsible for the simultaneous inspection of three different contractors painting the eastern and western-most main spans.
We documented contractor cleaning of the inorganic zinc (IZ) primed steel, verified the removal of all oxidation, and provided inspection during the application of the base, intermediate and finish coats in accordance with ODOT 514. QCS staff submitted detailed electronic daily reports and extensive photo documentation to the design build team throughout the entirety of the project.
